While some of them include a female ensemble, a few others are actress-led. From Kiara Advani’s Toxic to Alia Bhatt’s Alpha, gear up for an enthralling, power-packed, and bustling 2026 in theaters led by the super-talented, famous Bollywood actresses.
1. Toxic
One of the most-awaited films this year, Toxic, officially known as Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups, stars Yash (a Kannada actor known for KGF) and Bollywood belle Kiara Advani. It is all set to hit the theaters on March 19, 2026. Heard of this date before, right? Yes. The date clashes with yet another mega movie of the year, Dhurandhar 2. So, indeed, it is set to be a big day for Bollywood and its loyal audiences as well!
Toxic is a period action-thriller, gangster film set against the backdrop of colonial Goa, particularly between the 1940s and 1970s. It is a story of a man who builds a criminal empire amid dying colonialism and rising local crime syndicates. The movie also features Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth.
2. Love and War
Love triangles have been traditional in Bollywood. From those in the 60s to the most recent ones like Bad Newz, we can discuss exclusively about triple relationships entanglements.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming Love and War is also a love triangle, yet is expected to be different with a unique storyline and the grandeur that Bhansali’s films are known for.
The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt. The two male leads play resolute army officers, who get caught in a love triangle with Alia’s character against a war backdrop. Perhaps, hence, the title Love and War! Let’s wait for it to release and explore what it has in store for us. However, the film is said to incorporate elements of Pearl Harbour and the Bollywood classic, Sangam. Would that be true?
3. Alpha
Alpha is yet another action entertainer from one of India’s biggest production houses, Yash Raj Films. It stars Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and veterans like Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. Alia Bhatt, in particular, is the movie’s highlight. It promises to bring Alia Bhatt in a brand-new action form, never seen or experienced by audiences before.
Alpha is also considered India’s first fully female-led action movie. Sharvari, the movie’s second female lead, also teams up with Alia for some nerve-chilling action scenes.
Alpha is set to release on April 17, 2026.
4. King
King is another awaited, big-budget release, which has all eyes on it. Although marketed as a Shah Rukh Khan-seller, King has more than just the Badshah himself. It also has a powerful female cast that includes Suhana Khan and superstar Deepika Padukone. The movie revolves around Khan’s character, who mentors the character played by Suhana, training her to survive in a high-stakes, dangerous world. King is also set to star Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Abhishek Bachan, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Rani Mukerji.

5. Chand Mera Dil
Romanticism runs in Bollywood’s veins. Even as Indians, we just love watching the leads romance, make flowery promises on the big screen time and again. This time, it is the gorgeous Ananya Panday and Lakshya who romance each other. Details about the storyline aren’t out yet. But since it is a Dharma Productions film, it is expected to be a beautiful blend of emotions, drama, melodious music, and great locations.
