1. Border 2 (January 23, 2026)
Border 2 is all set to be one of the biggest releases this year. The movie, which was set for a dashing release on January 23, 2026, lived up to its pre-release expectations.
Featuring an ensemble of Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahaan Shetty, the movie is expected to pack just as much punch as its 1997 predecessor.

2. O Romeo (February 13, 2026)

Starring once again, the versatile Shahid Kapoor, O Romeo draws inspiration from classic romantic tragedies – but with a twist. It is set against a gritty, modern gangster backdrop! So, prepare for some intense emotional scenes and never-chilling action!
The movie explores a different angle of passion and tragic forbidden love – the destructive one within a rigid society.
3. Mardaani 3 (February 27, 2026)
Rani Mukerji is back as the courageous, fierce cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3. The movie, directed by Abhiraj Minawala, is part of the successful franchise.
Mardaani 3 is said to be even more intriguing with a plot that puts the protagonist, the daredevil Shivani Roy, under unspeakably challenging circumstances. This time, she investigates a more dangerous crime syndicate, part of a bigger network. Essentially, the story focuses on Shivani’s ceaseless pursuit of justice for the vulnerable.
Together, the socially relevant storyline and mature performance from Rani Mukerji can translate Mardaani 3 into a success hat-trick for the franchise.
4. Beyond the Kerala Story (February 27, 2026)
The Kerala Story, released in 2023, revealed a lot that we never knew. The story awakened us, exposing truths which earlier were either never told or only whispered in ears! Now, the truth is back with yet another, even more gruesome story – Beyond the Kerala Story. The film digs deeper into facts. Therefore, it will hurt more.
The cast is yet to be announced. But the director has changed. This time, it is Kamakhya Narayan Singh who will lead the project. Let’s hope it hits even harder this time!
5. Dhurandhar 2 (March 19, 2026)
This is arguably the biggest release of the year – at least so far. It is an obvious sequel to Dhurandhar, which was released in 2025 and created history.
Dhurandhar 2, starring the super-talented Ranveer Singh as Hamza Ali Mazari, is expected to be even more successful given its high stakes. The sequel will also star Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal.
The movie, at least as one can make out from the end of Dhurandhar, may show the rise of Hamza as the new kingpin of Lyari, while dismantling a global terror network. The story and performances are expected to be even sharper and thus more memorable.
6. Bhooth Bangla (April 2, 2026)
Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla is a comic relief amidst all the action flicks releasing in 2026. Alongside Khiladi Kumar, the movie has a legendary comedy cast of veteran Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav. Wamiqa Gabbi will also join the cast. The movie has two central elements to it – a man who inherits a mysterious, ancient mansion rumored to be haunted by restless spirits and the mansion (Bhooth Bangla) itself.
Some other noteworthy releases include Veer Murarbaji (based on the battle of Purandar), Battle of Galwan (saga of the success of Indian soldiers against the Chinese troops), Toxic (period gangster film), Alpha (starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as super-agents), and Drishyam 3 (needs no introduction!).
